My Soul Looks Like This Part 1 mix

I'll be giving free things away at this blogspot. Mainly old music which isn't readily available any more and some exclusives.

Remember i was telling you about being influenced? Thats what this mix series is all about. You'll notice the title is from an old DJ Shadow tune, except that was called What Does Your Soul Look Like. Really i just flipped that on it's head to 'My Soul Looks Like This'.

I'd wanted to do a mix for ages and figured i needed quite a few mixes to showcase the music i've enjoyed over the years and whats inspired me along the way. Shadow did 4 versions of 'What Does Your Soul Look Like' and it kinda fell into place thinking about what i was looking to do and how i wanted to represent it. This mix series is a collection of old, new and exclusive tunes which best describe me.

The first part will be released early 2008 on CD, with full cover artwork, but for now you can download it, only til the end of the year though, so get it while it's available, then please go purchase the CD if you like what you hear.

Here's what DJ Cikee wrote about me and the mix, tracklisting is below.......Enjoy!!

Ahhhh... this mix is something I have literally been waiting years for, and I can't say how happy it has made me. If you've ever asked me who I'm feelin' in hip hop at any given moment then undoubtedly my answer had included whatever I've gotten most recently from Ghost
. There are few producers who represent my taste so well and continue to surprise and impress me with every new track and collaboration. This man truly works hard for hip hop. "My Soul Looks Like This" is more than an appropriate title for me as the second track in (Kemuri) is the reason I became a dj and is still one of my favorite beats of all time. For Ghost, this just shows the range of his production style and gives you a taste of his tastes as well. He's got plenty of new sounds makin' their way out to the world right now as his remix for the Soul Investigators just dropped. He has the new "It's All Love" 45 on its way and his second album is just about wrapped as well... so don't sleep, you can get a good taste on myspace if this set leaves you wantin more. (Check Ghost's other groups Lingua Franca and Invisible Inc as well).
